Week #2 - Conflict & Competition

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all your good comments last week. It was great to read everyone's thoughts. Respond one (or more) of the questions below for this week, and I will see you all on Sunday!
  1. Why do you think the Israelites were still God's people even after they had broken the covenant time and time again?
  2. Who are the propets in your life? Do you listen to them?
  3. In what areas of life have you gone your own way? How has God shown faithfulness to you?
Thanks! - jo

  2. 1. I think that the Israelites were still God's people even after they had broken the covenant time and time again because God promised that He would take care of them... plus, He loved them and forgave them even when He didn't like what they did against him. God knows that we can't and don't always make the right chose because He made us so that we can make our own choses and so that we aren't perfect.

  3. 1. I think the Israelites were still God's people because God is a very forgiving and compassionate God. He knew that the Israelites would mess up but he let them make the decision for themselves. God would allow the Israelites to sin and then punish them. This would allow them to think about what they had done and learn from their mistakes. Then they would get back on track and the cycle would begin again. Above all God allowed the Israelites to still be his people because he LOVED THEM!!!!
